The INS Zoom immigration conference was on Oct 28, 2015 in Bangalore, India. We had participation from the Industry, US Consulate and several law firms from across the globe. Zoomlee was a sponsor and is proud to share some freehand sketch the participants created as part of fun at the conference! We are pleased to post some of the winning entries of the art contest. Watch out for more in this space.
At Zoomlee we take compliance seriously. Have you heard of the CXO who needs to travel tomorrow for an important business meeting and finds the passport has expired? There are several instances of business travelers, international students, expats and casual tourists stranded because of an expired passport. Any travel document that is not tracked for expiration can put you in trouble – from being stranded to landing in jail! We have heard people saying that they keep their documents safe in an email attachment or in cloud storage boxes. We thought we should go beyond that and set up alerts so that you stay compliant. It is simple and easy to set up and track any of your documents. Take a picture of the document, open in Zoomlee and securely store under the document category defined. You can also add any email attachment the same way! We do not want you to be a Forgetful Jones!
Are you someone who arrived in the US for work or study in one of the Universities? I am sure you are tracking to make sure all your immigration documents are secure and are valid. If you are not using Zoomlee, then it may be a good idea to get started now. Besides tracking all your documents and getting expiration alerts on time, Zoomlee also helps track your case status instantly. Most of you would be filing an extension of your work permit or other documents needed to stay and continue work or study. Now, you just need to store your case number in the Zoomlee app and check whenever you want to see the status of your case.
No more logging in to your computer and going to the USCIS website to check your status. Tap on the case number and you will get the status from the USCIS site instantly. At Zoomlee we are constantly looking at ways to make sure you and your family are compliant and stay stress free. Happy Holidays!
Zoomlee is a star in my eyes and here’s why…
I am an avid traveler, and love to be on-the-go exploring places. This calls for effective and safe organization of important documents, without which I can’t get far. With the new Zoomlee app, my dedicated time to prepare documents for my travel has vanished. Prior to my travel dates, I don’t set aside a day anymore, to merely sort out files and documents, gathering important documents that I would require. Zoomlee has taken away that extra time and effort off my shoulders.
With Zoomlee’s incredibly intelligent features, I can upload necessary documents with relevant dates from anywhere at any time, and forget about them. Here is the coolest part, Zoomlee even notified me when my passport was about to expire. Now, that’s what I call a SMART app! I was able to share documents with my family members, hassle-free. There was no need to hunt for a local scanning store carrying around my documents. As long as I was connected to the internet, sharing documents was only a click away.
Not to mention, calling for emergency help is made easier than ever before. One can find the nearest police stations, hospitals, consulates, embassies, and more only on Zoomlee. Personally, I am not aware of an application that makes traveling overseas easier than Zoomlee does. No matter which corner of the world I am in, whatever may be the local time, Zoomlee has always got my back. I say this with first-hand experience using Zoomlee to my satisfaction. Download it NOW my friends!

Few people are benefiting more from the boom in new communication technology than expats. Everything from Skype to WhatsApp has made staying in touch infinitely easier, be it singing Happy Birthday to your nephew, or tuning in for an important meeting at your home office — experiences that, in the past, expats had to miss.
Entrepreneurial global nomads have begun catering to a niche of tech-reliant expats, whose lives can be made simpler and more connected through websites and apps.Whether you’re looking for a place to buy Vegemite when you relocate to France, or you need a secure place to digitally store immigration documents, or want to move abroad but don’t have a job nailed down, we’ve rounded up some new companies you may not know about that make the expat life a little more convenient:
Upload, TAG, and set alerts for documents in Excel, PDFs, Word, PowerPoint, Rich Text and more!
It wasn’t long ago that people had no other option than to scan their travel documents, send sensitive travel information to their email accounts, and finally store their passports, visas, trip itineraries, identification certificates, etc., in Dropbox, Google Drive, SkyDrive, OneDrive and other cloud storage alternatives.
There are endless problems with this system, but to address the most important one, none of them are securely built to protect your highly sensitive and private documents you need to travel internationally. Zoomlee was engineered to keep your personal identity safe while you travel. Passports, visas and other travel documents can be uploaded to Zoomlee as a PDF, Word Document, Excel, PowerPoint… almost any file format including:
- Excel (.xls)
- Keynote (.key.zip)
- Numbers (.numbers.zip)
- Pages (.pages.zip)
- PDF (.pdf)
- PowerPoint (.ppt)
- Word (.doc)
- Rich Text Format (.rtf)
- Rich Text Format Directory (.rtfd.zip)
Zoomlee was created as a travel and compliance app that stores and protects your documents; however, there are so many unique features built into this single app specifically designed to make international travel, study, and living easy and safe. One of the newer features is the ability to access every document you have stored even when you are in an exotic location with no network connection.
Every document you upload to Zoomlee can be customized to include multiple fields specific to that document. Passports can have tracking numbers, issue dates, expiration dates. Visas can have control numbers and expiration dates. Pending documents can have hyperlinked fields for case numbers so you can check the status of work permits or green cards – you can link each case directly to the USCIS official site so you can quickly track the status of your application.
Any document that has an expiration date should be utilizing the Data Field feature. Zoomlee is set to remind you 1 month prior to the expiration date of critical documents like passports, driver’s licenses, visas, work permits, and travel insurance. Once you receive the first reminder that a document requires updates, you can then customize the alerts to come in 1 year, 6 months, 3 month, 1 week, or never before action is required.
Data Fields is one of the most unique features Zoomlee offers. No other travel app will track the expiration and case number of so many imperative documents. It is simple to input the information into the Data Fields, and in the long run, it saves you time and money when you aren’t running around at the last minute to renew your passport or paying a rush fee to get it ready before a trip.
